We were well treated wherever we went. I record the following comments worthy of note. The hotel in Srinagar is a very good hotel .The food is excellent. The service is exemplary. The people are wonderful. The driver Bilal is a wonderful person who went out of his way to be helpful. The tour operator needs to speak to the tourists upon arrival about what constitutes extras. This is especially important because tourists will not know that the way to the Dal Lake might not be through the city. The Oberoi staff were excellent . The breakfast was the best I had seen. INDIA TOUR DEC 2007 - JAN 2008 In prepartions ofmy first trip to India, I had been given a lot of sueful tips and hints from those who have traveled abroad before. This made me skeptical yet very excited of what was to come ahead. I am honoured to say this trip was a moving and wonderful experience. On arriving in Delhi after a long and tiring flight we were comforted to know that our tour guide and driver was waiting for us on time to transport us to our hotel. The staff was accommodating and friendly to welcome us to their majestic country. The itinerary prepared for us by Malek Tours was well structured and organized to show us part of North India's historical background and magical architecture. The tour guides were extremely informative and descriptive making it fairly easy for us to relive the Mughal era. Despite their simple and poverty stricken life, the locals received us with a smile on their faces and happiness in their eyes. Our trip to India has been a wonderful experience. The service and hopitality which we had received was overwhelming. The agency was very caring and attentive, always calling to check on us and if everything was going according to schedule. The tour guides that had received us throughout the trip were very friendly and informative towards us. Our drivers as well were very patient with us. The accommodation which we had been given were situated at wonderful locations. The hotel staff were very welcoming and did everything to make us feel right at home.
